Bac Lieu Province, Vietnam

In addition to rice cultivation, there are many aquaculture facilities in the Mekong Delta area. But the province of Bac Lieu in southern Vietnam is becoming the country's national clean energy hub with  several wind energy projects.

Bac Lieu has a coastline of 56 kilometers, vast coastal mudflats, windy weather and an annual sunshine duration of 2,200 to 2,700 hours. There is also little chance of the province being affected by natural disasters such as storms, floods or earthquakes, which further increases its potential as a producer of clean energy.
